What it does
The splitter is a solution to easily connect and control multiple PWM fans via the motherboard, without the need for a separate fan controller HUB. Alphacool calls it high-quality and ideal for expanding the limited number of motherboard slots for this type of fan. Thanks to the sleeving, the cable offers additional protection, more stability and a longer service life, again by Alphacool's account.
Connections
Alphacool's product information describes a 4-pin to 4x 4-pin Y-splitter cable. Its article name, technical details and scope of delivery all read 1x 4-Pin to 3x 4-Pin PWM, so count on three fan connections.
What a build needs
One free 4-pin PWM slot on the motherboard is all the splitter needs, and the fans plug into its three ends. The cable is available in different lengths: we also carry it in black at 15 cm and 30 cm. Other splitters and extensions are in our 4-Pin PWM cables section.
