Details
The Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 Full Copper X-Flow 240mm Radiator is a 240 mm radiator for two 120 mm fans, 45 mm thick. It is the X-Flow type: the water enters the copper chamber on one side and leaves from the chamber on the other. It measures 293 x 124 x 45 mm and has six G1/4 connections and M3 fan threads.

Full copper
Alphacool calls the new NexXxoS radiators the first to truly deserve the "Full copper" attribute. Not only the fins and channels are copper but the chambers also, so all main parts are made from it. Alphacool says this brings an improvement in performance where other radiators are left without a chance.
X-Flow
In structure the X-Flow Radiators differentiate materially from the standard radiators, and Alphacool says they are designed for high flow rates. A beveled copper chamber sits on each of the two sides, and both have an identical structure. Water jetting in at one chamber runs through all available channels at the same time to the other chamber, which is where it then leaves the radiator.
Connections and mounting
Versatile and easy mounting is one of the main points on which the research and development department at Alphacool focused. On inlet and outlet alike, the chamber offers three possibilities for fitting installation, which is not the case on the NexXxoS ST30. With that choice less angled fittings are needed, improving flow rates and offering more mounting possibilities. This radiator has six G1/4 connections in all.
Fans and screws
Fans and radiator grills go on M3 threads, and Alphacool describes even their mounting and installation as easy and versatile with these radiators. M3 is standard in the radiator sector, so M3 screws are available in all lengths at an affordable price. A screw that is too long is covered as well: the dreaded insertion of a screw too far into the radiator does not result in expensive damage. Unlike other radiators, Alphacool says, the series is equipped with an internal protective ledge which stops the screw before it damages the fins.
Fin spacing
Alphacool treats fin spacing as always an important factor in radiator design, and this radiator has 16 fins per inch. The fin design of the new series, it says, allows it to perform extremely well even with slow-spinning and medium-speed fans. Alphacool finds this pleasant thanks to the fact that it avoids unnecessary noise. It also means the choice of fans that can be used with these radiators is not restricted.
The NexXxoS series
Alphacool introduces the new NexXxoS radiators under a name that, in its words, stands for experience and quality and has come to bring a fresh breeze to the radiator market. Its reasoning: every user of a water cooling system needs a radiator, and everyone has different requirements toward the heat exchanger. Of course, Alphacool adds, the customer always demands the best in its class. It says the radiators have come to compete with and to beat the best in their class, and to be the best radiator in all sizes. In its words there are no more endless choices without a clear class leader, and the series is "the one tool for all your cooling needs". The company also says it has been the one to introduce new developments and improvements in the radiator and water cooling sector generally many times over the last years. Following this tradition, here, too, it provides the popular sizes of the 120mm series. The different thicknesses of 30 mm, 45 mm and 60 mm underscore the broad spectrum that these radiators cover. Alphacool sums the radiators up as the result of experience and powerful performance meeting future-oriented design and well-thought through solutions.
What the loop needs
Two of the six G1/4 connections are used, one as inlet and one as outlet, so the radiator takes two fittings. The other four connections take the four screw plugs in the box. It holds two 120 mm fans, and mounting hardware is in the box.
The thinner radiator in this fan size and type is the NexXxoS ST30 Full Copper X-Flow 240mm Radiator.

Notes
- Alphacool's note on application: use the radiator only in conjunction with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. The particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. Alphacool adds that this can result in voiding the manufacturer's warranty as well.
