Full Copper
Alphacool says it has dominated the market with its Full Copper radiator series for more than a decade. It describes "our extensive portfolio of radiator variants" as unique worldwide, just like the manufacturing process that, in its words, "enables us" to craft all water-bearing parts and cooling fins from pure copper. Thanks to what Alphacool calls exceptional performance, these radiators can effortlessly dissipate even extremely high waste heat, making them indispensable in many sectors of the cooling industry.
The next step in evolution: HPE Full Copper Radiator
The radiator uses the same materials as the previous NexXxoS models but takes a technical step forward: a denser internal structure in which the number of water channels and copper fins has been increased. By Alphacool's account this design ensures a larger water volume is in direct contact with the cooling fins, significantly enhancing heat transfer. More fin rows and their shortening also results, it says, in a much more efficient utilization of the cooling surface. The data sheet puts that at 1.2x increased water throughput and 20% more efficient heat transfer compared to the NexXxoS standard, with 100% of the internal structure made of copper.
Alphacool reports comparison tests with the conventional NexXxoS radiator, which it says have demonstrated that the HPE radiator can achieve a performance improvement of 4.5K. At higher ambient temperatures and fan speeds, it adds, the performance gap between the HPE and standard NexXxoS radiators increases progressively, with possible performance gains of up to 6K. The thinner radiator in this size and color is the HPE-30 Full Copper 360mm Radiator in white.
Connection options & mounting
Alphacool's text says the radiator features two IN or OUT connections with G1/4 threads in the pre-chamber area. Its technical data counts 4x G1/4 IN/OUT. On the opposite side there is a fill or drain port for filling and draining the water circuit.
What the loop needs
A loop uses two of the ports, one in and one out, so the radiator takes two G1/4 fittings with a thread no longer than 5 mm. It mounts three 120 mm fans on one side or six on both sides, on M3 threads. The radiator comes with all necessary screws for case and fan installation: twelve M3x5 case mounting screws and twelve M3x30 fan screws. Additional screws are typically not required.
Safety first
The radiator is equipped with special protective plates beneath all mounting holes to prevent screws from being inserted too deeply. That way the cooling fins and water channels underneath are protected from damage.
Patented screw plugs
All HPE radiators use Alphacool's patented screw plugs. Protruding screw plugs often prevent a radiator from being installed flush. These are fully recessed into the radiator, flush with its surface, allowing for what Alphacool calls easy and seamless installation in the case. The box holds a plug tool for them.

Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can also void the manufacturer's warranty.
