What it connects
Alphacool designed the ES bracket to route external water cooling components into an internal loop. By utilizing an expansion slot, external radiators, pumps, chillers and other liquid cooling components can be connected without drilling additional case holes or permanently modifying the computer case. That makes it ideal for external cooling equipment, and suitable for PC, workstation, server and enthusiast water cooling systems as well as other external cooling applications.
Features of the pass-through connections
Both ports have G1/4 female threads, allowing standard water cooling fittings to be installed on both sides. This creates a clean transition between the internal and external portions of the loop. It does so while maintaining compatibility with a wide range of G1/4 fittings and accessories.
Reversible fittings
For increased installation flexibility, each pass-through is built with two threaded sections, one short section and one long. Its connector ends can be removed, reversed and reinstalled in the opposite orientation. That adjustable configuration helps accommodate recessed PCIe slot areas around the slot covers or different case designs. This allows the mounting position to be adapted to the space available inside the system.
Installation
Installation uses one free slot of the case. In cases where crossbars or other obstructions are present between the expansion slots, take the G1/4 pass-through fittings out of the bracket before inserting it. Then reattach them once the bracket is in position.
Cable routing
A dedicated cable-routing cutout lets power, control, sensor or other necessary cables pass through the same bracket. Coolant connections and their supporting cables can therefore leave through a single location, which makes it possible to route both outside the case.
Materials
By Alphacool's specifications, the G1/4 connections are manufactured from a brass alloy (CuZn39Pb3) with a chrome-polished finish for durability. The slot bracket is constructed from high-quality unalloyed steel (Cr01) with a durable black painted finish. The result is a simple and professional way of integrating external hardware.
What the loop needs
Each of the two connections takes one G1/4 fitting on each side, so a loop routed out and back through the bracket uses four fittings.

Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
