The Alphacool ES Distro Plate Parallel C5 is a water cooling distro plate for server cases with 22 G1/4 connection options, 130 x 56 x 22.5 mm in size. The top is acetal and the bottom nickel plated copper, and the 18 screw plugs and the plug tool come in the box. Alphacool also makes this size as the ES Distro Plate C5.

What the ES Distro Plate does

Alphacool says the plate ensures organization in the system and, in combination with quick-release fasteners, facilitates the exchange of components. It offers extensive mounting options, and Alphacool calls it the ideal foundation for any enterprise system that is to be equipped with water cooling.

Mounting options

The plate can be mounted in many ways. The easiest and fastest variant is the mounting via the enclosed self-adhesive Velcro: one side is glued directly to the plate, the other side to any place in the case. Afterwards, the plate is simply placed on the Velcro. The manual warns that the adhesive is difficult to remove, so the position can hardly be corrected once the plate is stuck down. The scope of delivery also includes feet and mounting frame. With the appropriate mounting bracket, held by the four M3x4 screws, the plate goes on any 120 or 140 mm fan space with the M3x8 screws and M3 nuts. It can also be mounted directly on a fan or radiator, or flexibly placed in the server case with the stand feet. Screw in every plug a stand bracket will cover before the bracket goes on. Various threaded holes on the sides and back offer further direct mounting options, including adapted holes for special mounting rails in Alphacool's server racks.

Connection options

The plate has 22 connection options in G1/4 inner thread format with 5 mm screw-in depth. There are 5 connections on each left and right side, 10 connections on the front and one connection on each top and bottom side. The guidance lines on the plate facilitate the comprehensibility of the water flow as well as the connection options, which are also shown in detail in the manual. According to the manual, IN and OUT are freely selectable, and the connections can be used as one total group or as individual groups. The hoses only have to be connected so that a water circuit is formed. Due to the high number of configuration options, all components in the water circuit can be easily connected to the plate. It is also possible to connect several ES Distro Plates together in series.

Why an ES Distro Plate?

A clean design of the water cooling system must be well planned! Alphacool says the plate makes it easier to design and build complex water cooling systems in tight server enclosures.

What the loop needs

Every connection in use takes a fitting with a G1/4 external thread, and every unused one must be closed with one of the screw plugs. Using Alphacool's ES quick connectors with external threads, components such as CPU and GPU coolers or radiators can be connected to the plate and thus easily integrated into the water circuit. Those connectors are among our quick disconnect fittings. Alphacool calls unused ports perfect for use as fill and drain ports.

Notes

• Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
