The Alphacool EPDM Tube 11/8 - Black 1m (3.28ft) Retailbox is soft tubing for a water-cooled PC with an 8 mm inner and 11 mm outer diameter. The retail box holds one 1 m length of matte black EPDM rubber hose from Alphacool's Enterprise Solutions series.

What is the advantage of EPDM?
Alphacool says its EPDM tube is characterized by a high resistance to acids, alkalis and external influences, and by exceptional longevity compared to conventional PVC tubes. Compared to commercially available PVC tubing it is significantly more temperature resistant, and Alphacool says it enables working temperatures far above 100 °C. Even at higher water temperatures the tube remains dimensionally stable, which prevents the hose from warping at points with tighter bending radii or connections. Alphacool's claim is that the risk of the water loop leaking or the water flow being obstructed is thus eliminated. It adds that the high resistance to external influences makes the tube extremely durable and long-lasting.
The hose has a discreet velvet look, and Alphacool expects it will quickly become an eye-catcher in any build.
Mounting
The tube is slightly more dimensionally stable than a PVC tube. Nevertheless, Alphacool says it has an excellent pliability as well as flexibility, for an effortless assembly even with tighter bending radii.
Fittings
The tube can be used with all tube fittings in the appropriate size from the Alphacool Eiszapfen or HF series. The size to look for is 11/8 mm, as in our 11/8mm compression fittings.

Notes
- Alphacool's note on application: use the tube only in conjunction with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. It warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses.
