The Alphacool Eiszapfen G1/4 Male To Male Rotatable Adapter Fitting - Chrome is a double nipple: a water cooling adapter with a G1/4 male thread on both sides, one fitting per pack. It can, for example, connect two sleeves that each have a 1/4" female thread, and Alphacool lists it as rotatable.

The Eiszapfen series
Eiszapfen is German for icicles, and Alphacool calls this connector series the high-end version of its proven connections. By its account, all requirements that are placed on a connection are fulfilled here: High Flow, form, processing and coloring. Alphacool credits intransigence, meaning uncompromising work in development and production, with having helped make the series what it is. Two versions are available, one in brilliant chrome and one in matte, deep black, and Alphacool says they fit perfectly into any system.
Finish and coating
The finish of this adapter is the double nipple shape. With a special process the coatings are firmly connected to the ground, the substrate under them. Alphacool says this is so the intense colors stay permanent, hence ensuring their longevity, and so peeling or flaking of the coating will be inhibited. Each port now has the Alphacool logo, making it unique in addition to its special shape.
O-rings
For those who like it colorful, Alphacool's text says three different colored O-Rings are included. Under existing UV lighting these even glow like lights in the appropriate color.
What a run needs
The adapter joins two female G1/4 ports directly, so it needs no tube. Other lengths and makes are in our male to male extension fittings section.
Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
