The Alphacool Eiszapfen G1/4 Dual Rotary 45° Adapter Fitting - Chrome is a double 45° angle adapter made of brass, one fitting per pack. It has a rotating G1/4 external thread on one side and a G1/4 internal thread on the other. It features two 45° angles, and the adapter can rotate between each 45° angle. Alphacool names this execution the angle adapter double 45°.

Where it is used

Alphacool's page calls this shape an S-adapter. It is used to reach difficult to access areas, so it goes in the hard-to-reach places of a loop.

The Eiszapfen series

Alphacool says its Eiszapfen (Icicle) connector series is the high-end version of the proven connections. In its words, all requirements that are placed on a connection are fulfilled here: High Flow, form, processing and coloring. Alphacool credits intransigence in development and production, which it says have helped make the icicles what they are. Two versions are available, brilliant chrome and a matte, deep black, and Alphacool says both fit perfectly into any system.

Coating and O-rings

With a special process the coatings are firmly connected to the substrate, hence ensuring permanent, intense colors, and Alphacool says peeling of the coating is inhibited. Each port now has the Alphacool logo, making it unique in addition to its special shape. Those who like it colorful get three different colored O-rings included for the fitting. Where there is existing UV lighting, Alphacool says these O-rings even glow in the appropriate color under those lights.

What the loop needs

The external thread screws into a G1/4 port, and the internal thread takes any G1/4 fitting from our fittings section. The adapter holds no tube on its own.

Notes

• Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
