The Alphacool Eiszapfen 3/8" ID x 5/8" OD G1/4 90° Rotatable Compression Fitting - Chrome is a 90° compression fitting with a G1/4 thread for 16/10 mm soft tube, one fitting per pack. That is hose with a 3/8" inner and 5/8" outer diameter. The threaded side is rotatable.

This connector has a G1/4 thread on one side, and Alphacool says it is thereby compatible with 95% of components. The other side fits a 16/10mm hose. The middle is turned at a 90° angle in order to prevent complicated hose connections, and the threaded side turns for maximum flexibility. Alphacool gives the size as 35.5 mm in length, 22 mm in width and 34.5 mm in height.
The Eiszapfen Connector Series
Alphacool calls its Eiszapfen Connector Series the high-end execution of these tried-and-true connectors. It says every requirement you could have of a connector is met with this series: highflow, form, processing and color. In Alphacool's words, a refusal to compromise in development and production has made the series into what it is. Components are available in the brilliant chrome of this fitting or a deep, matte black, which Alphacool says will fit excellently into any system.
A special procedure binds the outer coating firmly to the surface, improving the longevity of the intense color and preventing any chipping or peeling of the coating. Along with their distinctive shape, the Alphacool logo that every connector now has makes them unmistakable.
The series text also covers Alphacool's HardTube connectors. There the connecting nut's slanted corners allow the O-ring to be pressed firmly against the HardTube, ensuring it sits even more securely than before. Alphacool says this allows for greater safety in transport.
For anyone looking for colorful options, the series text says the O-rings in the shipment come in three colors. With the available UV-light option, these will even light up in the corresponding color. Alphacool's scope of delivery for this fitting lists the fitting alone.
What a run needs
The thread screws into a G1/4 port, and the hose side takes soft tube from our 3/8" ID x 5/8" OD soft tubing section. A tube run takes two fittings, one at each end.
Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
