The Alphacool Eiszapfen 1/2" ID x 3/4" OD G1/4 90° Rotatable Compression Fitting - Chrome is a 90° compression fitting with a G1/4 thread for 19/13 mm soft tube (1/2" inner, 3/4" outer diameter). The threaded side is rotatable, and there is one fitting per pack. O-rings in three colors (red, green and yellow) come in the box as well.

This connector has a G1/4 thread on one side, and Alphacool says it is thereby compatible with 95% of components. The other side fits a 19/13mm hose. The middle is turned at a 90° angle in order to prevent complicated hose connections, and the threaded side is rotatable for maximum flexibility. The body is brass and measures 37.5 mm in length, 26 mm in width and 36.5 mm in height.

The Eiszapfen Connector Series

Alphacool calls its Eiszapfen Connector Series the high-end execution of these tried-and-true connectors. It says every requirement you could have of a connector is met with this series: highflow, form, processing and color. In Alphacool's words, a refusal to compromise in development and production has made the series into what it is. Components are available in brilliant chrome or a deep, matte black, and Alphacool says either will fit excellently into any system. Of these two color options, this fitting is the chrome option.

Alphacool binds the outer coating firmly to the surface with a special procedure. It names two results: improving the longevity of the intense colors, and preventing any chipping or peeling of the coating. Each connector now has the Alphacool logo, which along with their distinctive shape makes them unmistakable.

On the HardTube connectors of the series, the slanted corners of each connecting nut allow the O-rings to be pressed firmly against the HardTube, ensuring that an O-ring sits even more securely than before. Alphacool says this allows for greater safety in transport.

What a run needs

The thread screws into any G1/4 port, and the hose side takes soft tube. Tubes to match come from our 1/2" ID x 3/4" OD soft tubing section. Setting up a tube run takes two fittings, one at each end.

• Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
