The Alphacool Eislicht LED Panel - Green is a green LED light panel for case illumination, 312 x 39 x 7 mm, powered through the familiar 3-pin plug found on most fans. It mounts with four magnetic screws or with a double-sided adhesive strip, and both are included.

The light
Alphacool's case for the Eislicht starts with what came before it. Current LEDs, it says, have a very piecemeal illumination that's anything but consistent. Older cathode tubes offered a much more pleasant light, but they had a short lifespan and, due to their large size, weren't very easy to place. The panel combines the long lifespan of LEDs with the uniform glow of a cathode tube.
In order to combine these advantages, Alphacool used a proven technology from the backlighting of monitors and TVs. Alphacool says this makes it the first manufacturer in the world to bring this technology to the market for computer illumination.
Mounting
So that the lights can be mounted in any position, Alphacool ships each panel with four screws that have magnetic heads. That makes the panel easy to install, as well as easy to remove and reposition. Since aluminum cases and plastic components aren't magnetic, the adhesive strip is also in the box for those.
