The Alphacool Eisdecke DDC/D5 Single Reservoir for Alphacool Eisdecke Top is an acrylic reservoir that screws onto an Eisdecke pump top for the Laing DDC or for the Laing D5 or VPP655. It holds max. 123ml and measures 80 x 80 x 45 mm. The pump top and the pump are not in the box.

What it is for
Alphacool says that space saving, simple, practical and manifold (versatile) describes this outstanding product. The container belongs to the Eisdecke series, the "ice sheets" series of pump tops. Sitting on one of those tops, it becomes what Alphacool calls an integral part of a water cooling system. Due to the compact design the combination is well suited for small cases, but Alphacool also calls it powerful enough for large water cooling systems.
Mounting
Mounting is very simple with four screws on the optional "Eisdecken", which are in our DDC pump tops and D5 pump tops sections. An O-ring seals the joint, and the container can then be integrated into the system. Notice that the 4 screws holding the container must only be tightened finger-tight (0.4Nm). Once it is mounted, there remains a small gap between the container and the pump cover. Excessive tightening may damage the cap and the reservoir.
What the loop needs
Among the technical details, the reservoir has one G1/4 thread of its own. To make a working unit it still needs an Eisdecke top and the pump that top is built for.
Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
