The Alphacool Eisbaer Aurora LT Solo - Black is the pump and cooler unit of an AIO liquid cooler on its own, without radiator, tubes and fans. It mounts on AMD AM4 and AM5 and on Intel LGA 1700 and 1851, among the sockets listed below. The unit combines CPU cooling block, reservoir and pump in one housing. To finish the loop you still need a radiator, tubing and two G1/4 fittings.

Fit
Compatibility follows Alphacool's current list, which marks none of the sockets above as optional. One mounting set for AMD and one for Intel are in the box. Alphacool's manual shows brackets and screws for LGA 115x, LGA 1200, LGA 1700/1851 and LGA 2066 and for AM4 / AM5. It shows no mounting steps for the other sockets on the list. On LGA 115x, 1200 and 1700/1851 the enclosed backplate is fixed to the back of the mainboard with its tape.
Thermal compound is included. The manual has you remove the old paste from the CPU, apply a pea-sized blob and spread it with a plastic strip into an even, thin layer of less than 0.5 mm. Tighten the screws hand-tight only, without tools.
Low height for small cases
At 45 mm the construction height is low, which allows flexible use in a wide range of scenarios. Alphacool says the unit can convince especially in small cases with little space. The same product is also used as the basis of Alphacool's popular AiO water coolers.
Radiator base and pump
As with all Alphacool products, the base that Alphacool's text calls the radiator base is made of nickel-plated copper. It is equipped with very fine cooling fins that are distributed over the entire base. A nozzle plate provides an accelerated flow over those fins, which increases the cooling performance according to Alphacool. The water flow is optimized so that all areas of the cooler base are cooled evenly. The Eisbaer LT Aurora cooler uses the DC-LT 2, a very compact and small pump. Alphacool says it provides enough power to add another component to the circuit, such as a GPU water cooler or another radiator.
Full Digital aRGB Illumination
The cooler pump assembly is fully equipped with Digital RGB LEDs, also known as addressable RGB or aRGB. For a nice visual effect the polar bear on the unit is illuminated, of course. Alphacool's text for this line also speaks of fans and of an included controller. Alphacool's scope of delivery for the Solo lists neither: the box holds the 3-Pin JST to 3-Pin 5V adapter. Extensive effects can be set with a Digital RGB controller on the motherboard or with a separate one. The manual names the Aurora Eiscontrol as an example, not included. For easier control via a controller, fans and also the pump can be connected in series as a daisy chain. This enables a neat wiring of the individual LED components.
How to connect everything
The unit has two G1/4 threads, IN and OUT, so it takes two fittings. The manual says all connections with a maximum diameter of 18 mm are compatible. The third G1/4 thread is the fillport, which can be used for refilling and is closed with the screw plug and the enclosed tool. The pump's 3-pin connector plugs into a free fan connector on the mainboard. On a 3-pin fan connector, set the voltage to 12V in the BIOS; the manual says this is not necessary for PWM connections. For the lighting, the included adapter goes on the 3-pin female connector and from there to a Digital RGB controller or a 5V 3-Pin aRGB connector. Additional Digital RGB LEDs connect to the remaining 3-pin male connector.

Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
