The Alphacool DDC Metal Housing - Nickel is a replacement metal bottom for Laing DDC pumps in silver nickel, one housing per pack. It takes the place of the outside cover on all DDC compatible pumps and works as a heatsink for the pump. This housing is also in stock in black nickel.

Passive cooling
Alphacool calls the housing its passive cooler for the Laing DDC pumps and says it offers more than just cooling. Air flows through the cooling fins, and an internal thermal pad sits directly on the pump board. Alphacool says this new housing promises a longer service life for the pump.
Decoupling
Another feature is the decoupling option in the box. It needs a pump attachment with an M4 mounting thread, such as Alphacool's Laing DDC Acetal attachment or another of the DDC pump tops with that thread. The special M4 screws are connected to the housing, and the included decoupling screws into the head of each screw.
Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
