The Alphacool Core ATX 24-Pin PSU Jumper is a bridge plug for the 24-pin ATX connector of a power supply, one jumper per pack. It starts the PSU without the motherboard, so the pump can run while a loop is filled.

What it is for
Alphacool calls its jumper plug a simple but highly effective tool. Once the water cooling system is assembled, the loop needs to be filled, and for this the pump needs power from the PSU. The rest of the system should be left power free for safety.
How a fill works
To be able to start the power supply without booting the entire computer, the 24-pin ATX connector is first unplugged from the motherboard. Alphacool notes that removing it from the mainboard deactivates the power supply. The jumper is now plugged into that 24-pin connector of the power supply, and the pump is also connected to the power supply. After pressing the power switch the PSU starts and the pump is supplied with power, yet everything else stays dormant. This way you can easily fill the system.
