The Alphacool Backplate with Screws LGA 115x/1200/1700 is a black synthetic backplate for Intel LGA 1150, 1151, 1155, 1200 and 1700 sockets, one backplate with four LGA 1700 screws and four washers per pack. It goes behind the motherboard under Alphacool's XPX CPU water blocks and Eisbaer AIOs.

Which coolers it is for
Alphacool names these coolers for it: XPX, XPX Aurora, XPX Aurora Edge, XPX 1U, XPX Pro 1U, XPX Pro Aurora, Eisbaer, Eisbaer Aurora, Eisbaer Pro and Eisbaer LT. This list includes both solo water coolers and CPU AIOs. On the socket side the plate is compatible with Intel's LGA 115X, 1200 and 1700.

Alphacool's note: if the bracket is to be used exclusively for the Intel 1700/1851 socket, it recommends its Core Backplate XPX/Eisbaer LGA 115X/1200/1700/1851 Metal instead.
What it does
Behind the board, the backplate stabilizes the CPU cooler on the socket, and Alphacool says it ensures optimum contact pressure. There is an additional adhesive surface on the back of it that serves as an installation aid and thus makes mounting much easier. Alphacool's data sheet also credits it with excellent cooling performance.
