The Alphacool Aurora Vertical GPU Mount with Riser Cable is a vertical GPU mount for common PC cases that takes up six PCI slots and comes including a 250 mm PCI-E 3.0 x16 riser cable. With it a graphics card can be installed vertically, and the mount features 11 individually controllable 5V aRGB LEDs that create what Alphacool calls unique lighting effects.

Mounting
For this mount, six of the existing slot covers on the back of the case must be removed. The manual has you fit the graphics card to the bracket first, with two of the M3x6 screws, and connect the riser cable to the PCIe slot of the mainboard. The mount, including the already mounted card, is then positioned in the area of the removed slot covers. It is screwed into the case using the included support clamp and the remaining M3x6 screws, the clamp going on from behind. The bracket, which the card hangs on, is fixed to the slot holder with the screws supplied with the case. The riser cable is highly foldable and flexible.
Brilliant lighting
In the lower part of the bracket 11 digitally addressable 5V RGB LEDs are installed. Alphacool says they give a unique, very noble looking illumination. The Digital aRGB LED illumination is connected via a JST 3-pin connector on a cable of approx. 410 mm.
What the lighting needs
To control the digital RGB lighting, the included adapter must be plugged into the 3-pin female connector. It is then connected to a digital RGB controller (e.g. Alphacool Aurora Eiscontrol, Art.15360, not included) or to a digital RGB capable motherboard. The remaining 3-pin male connector stays free and can be used for additional digital RGB LEDs. Other mounts of this kind are in our vertical GPU mounts section.
