Details
This is 16/10mm soft tubing for custom liquid cooling systems, with a 16 mm outer and 10 mm inner diameter (16mm OD / 10mm ID) and 1 m (3.28 ft) in the pack. It is made of talc-free EPDM rubber in matte black, and with that standard size it is compatible with appropriately sized Alphacool Eiszapfen and HF series soft-tube fittings.

What is the advantage of EPDM?
The tube belongs to Alphacool's Enterprise Solutions series, hence the name Alphacool ES EPDM 16/10mm Soft Tubing. It is a durable, flexible solution designed for PC water cooling as well as workstations, servers and professional liquid cooling applications. Alphacool says it is characterized by high resistance to acids, alkalis (bases) and external influences, and that it has exceptional longevity compared to conventional PVC tubing. The rubber it is manufactured from provides significantly greater resistance to heat, chemicals and environmental influences than PVC, which leaves it more temperature resistant and dimensionally stable.
By Alphacool's figures it enables working temperatures far above 100 °C, and EPDM maintains its dimensional stability across that wide operating temperature range. Even at elevated coolant temperatures the tubing resists deformation around tight bends and fitting connections, helping prevent kinks, restrictions and potential leaks. Alphacool's conclusion is that the risk of the loop leaking, or of the flow being obstructed, is thus eliminated. That makes it particularly well suited for systems requiring dependable long-term operation.
Mounting
Despite its increased dimensional stability compared to PVC, the tube remains flexible enough for easy routing through compact or complex cooling systems. Alphacool credits it with excellent pliability and flexibility for an effortless assembly, tighter bending radii included. Its specifications put the hardness at 75 Shore A, which provides an excellent balance between structural stability and flexibility, allowing clean tubing runs while maintaining its shape. Among its features, the flexible construction helps with installation on tight tubing routes and helps the tube resist kinking, so it is suitable for a PC, workstation or server loop alike.
Look
The matte black surface gives the tubing a subtle, professional appearance with a discreet, velvety look, a finish that works equally well in enthusiast PCs and industrial systems. Alphacool expects the hose to quickly become an eye-catcher in any water-cooled PC. EPDM's resistance to aging and external influences is also why it is an excellent choice for builds where reliability and service life are a priority.
What a run needs
The tube can be used with all tube fittings in the appropriate size from the Alphacool Eiszapfen or HF series. A run takes two 16/10 compression fittings, one at each end.
Technical data
| Length | 1 m (3.28 ft) |
| Material tube | Ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM, without talc) |
| Color | matte black |
| Tube size | Ø outside 16 mm / Ø inside 10 mm (tolerances according to DIN ISO 33-02-1 E1) |
| Hardness grade | 75° (± 5°) Shore A |
